UKHSA and the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe are co-hosting the Health in Prisons and Places of Detention International Conference on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 June in London.
WEPHREN are delighted to share with you live streaming links for the WHO Health in Prisons conference next week (20-21st June) entitled “Making prisons and places of detention resilient to infectious diseases, including epidemic and pandemic threats”.
The conference is an opportunity to take stock of the vulnerabilities of prisons and places of detention to infectious diseases, with the aim of making them more resilient to endemic and epidemic threats. Key speakers across the two days include Jenny Harries (Chief Executive, UKHSA), Hans Kluge (Regional Director, WHO Regional Office for Europe), Chris Whitty (Chief Medical Officer for England) and Susan Hopkins (Chief Medical Advisor, UKHSA).
