In November 2022, WHO extended the HIPP surveillance system, designed for voluntary online reportingof coronavirus disease, to include notification of probable and confirmed cases of mpox in prisons and other places of detention. This report presents data obtained over 6 months. The indicators of infectionare prison occupancy, the number of tests performed, the number of detainees screened for signs and symptoms, the numbers of probable and confirmed cases, the demographics of confirmed cases and vaccination coverage.
