European Immunisation Week – focussing on MMR – UK Health Security Agency

The Rise-Vac (Reaching the hard-to-reach: Increasing access and vaccine uptake among the prison population in Europe) consortium has come together to celebrate World Immunisation Week by sharing some of the work that each partner has completed over the last year. This work has been chosen because of its variety and impact. Below are some examples of the work the rise-vac partners have completed to improve vaccination uptake and literacy in prison settings across Europe.

Moldova

The medical staff of the National Administration of Penitentiaries carried out a study on the knowledge and attitude towards vaccinations among the prison population.

Further information of the study can be read here: The efforts of the National Penitentiary Administration System in Moldova provided credible results around knowledge and attitudes towards vaccinations in a European survey

Italy

This report can be access here: The vaccination clinic in “San Vittore” remand house, Milan: a RISE-Vac Project
