WEPHREN is celebrating its 2nd anniversary and will be broadcasting the Alex Gatherer lecture over a Skype webinar on Friday 12th July, 2019 at 15.15-17.00 (BST).
The webinar will be hosted by the UK Collaborating Centre for the WHO Health in Prisons Programme with the theme of engaging with people in prison to inform healthcare services.
This year, the guest speakers presenting the Alex Gatherer lecture will be Professor Karla Thornton, Daniel Rowan, Saul Hernandez and Carissa McGee from the University of New Mexico's Project ECHO in Prisons. The webinar will consider the benefits and challenges of using Project ECHO as part of efforts to eliminate Hepatitis C in prisons and to support a peer health mentoring project in prisons.
